What makes it special

Antonio Vivaldi

The church holds a strong historical connection to the celebrated Venetian composer, even though the current building was constructed after his death (between 1745 and 1760). It stands next to the former Ospedale della Pietà - a convent, orphanage, and renowned music school - where Antonio Vivaldi, famously known as 'The Red Priest' for his striking red hair, spent much of his life mentoring students and shaping his extraordinary musical legacy.

The evening concerts

In the evenings, the church transforms into an intimate concert hall where uplifting renditions of 'The Four Seasons' fill the space.

Hear and see the changing seasons

Paired with lighting changes that subtly shift the interior's colors to mirror each season, the performance creates a truly immersive audio-visual experience.

The Four Seasons

You'll undoubtedly encounter Antonio Vivaldi's iconic 'The Four Seasons' more than one time during your time in Venice.

While deeply synonymous with the Venetian composer, here's an interesting fact: this celebrated masterpiece was actually composed far from the city's canals, likely during his time in Mantua.
