Ca' Rezzonico

Enter 18th-century Venice

Magnificent palace museum revealing the art, luxury, and daily life of Venice's aristocratic golden age.

What makes this place special

A grandiose palazzo

Of all splendid palaces lining the Grand Canal, Ca' Rezzonico is arguably the most sumptuous, showcasing outstanding examples of Venetian Baroque and Rococo architecture and décor.

Signature

Ca' Rezzonico's intricate marble facade is one of the most striking on the waterfront. Inside, the ceremonial staircase, the ballroom and the gilded apartments are embellished with magnificent Murano glass chandeliers and ceiling frescoes by Tiepolo.

Time travel

As you walk through the nearly 20 rooms on three floors, each retaining decorative objects and intricately carved period furniture, you'll glimpse into the lavish life of Venetian aristocrats of the time.

Farmacia Ai do San Marchi

On the third floor, explore the three rooms of a historic pharmacy. The shop houses 183 majolica jars of 18th-century remedies. The laboratory features a fireplace and stove. The back room is covered by a boiserie in painted fir-wood and has additional majolica vases.

Museum Shop

Like other municipal museums in Venice, the shop offers a wide range of items, from books and prints to unique creations by local artisans.

Ca' Rezzonico : The facade overlooking the Grand Canal

Ca' Rezzonico is one of the finest examples of Venetian Baroque architecture on the Grand Canal, with an ornate facade reflecting the wealth and ambition of the Republic's final centuries.

Across the water, Palazzo Grassi presents a very different vision of grandeur through its sober classical design.

The best way to appreciate both styles is from the water, where the contrasting facades reveal their details as you glide between them by boat or vaporetto.
