What makes it special

Views of Rialto

Here you'll find some of the finest views of Rialto Bridge. Observe people crowding at the top for photos and the ever-changing stream of boats passing underneath.

Open-air restaurants

The quai was named after the barrels of wine once offloaded here - so it's only fitting to enjoy a glass with your meal while taking in the view.

A rarity

There aren't many accessible banks along the Grand Canal and Riva del Vin is definitely the most scenic one.

Gondola hub

This might be the moment you've been saving: let one of the many gondolas available here gently carry you under the Rialto Bridge for that classic Venice experience.

What to expect here

Take in some of the best views of Rialto Bridge - whether dangling your feet above Grand Canal or relaxing at one of the many terrace restaurants.

Private or shared gondola?

Rialto Bridge : Glide peacefully in a gondola and enjoy a brief moment of calm between the waves created by passing waterbuses

There are plenty of gondoliers available on-site.

A 30-minute gondola ride has a fixed price set by the city: €90 during the day and €110 in the evening or at night.

This price covers a private gondola that can hold up to 5 passengers, but note that payment is only accepted in cash.

If you're short on cash or traveling in a small group, a more affordable shared ride can easily be booked online.
