Your Direct Path to the Best of Venice

We help travelers discover the best of Venice.

We enable hosts to enhance their guests' journey through the city.

Core principles

  • Fair and transparent: no ads, no tracking, no hidden surprises.
  • Easy to use: super intuitive and frictionless.
  • Concise and to the point: a cheatsheet rather than a blog.
  • All-in-one: info, tips, links, photos, tickets and more.
  • Ignite curiosity: learn about the city and connect the dots.

Why did we start CityScrolls?

Because we wished we had a CityScrolls poster and guide for every destination we visited, ready and waiting for us in our hotel room. It would have made our travel experiences so much better and saved us the effort of lengthy research.

Why wait for the perfect solution when you can make it happen yourself?

We embarked on this journey to help other travelers have a much better experience discovering their destinations and making the most of their trips, while also assisting hosts in providing this service effortlessly.

Meet the team

Hi, I'm Adrian! I'm a software engineer, but above all: a traveler and explorer.

Traveling to new places is my ultimate hobby. It often begins virtually: I easily lose track of time studying maps, aerial imagery, and travel guides in search of exciting things to see and experience with my family or friends. Once we arrive, I tap into another facet of my personality and become the guide.

To bring this project to life, I had to take on even more roles: photographer, content writer, copywriter and even website designer. Fortunately, I was lucky to have the help of my talented sister, who handled all the illustrations, branding and overall visual design. Why Venice?

I first entered Venice in 2013 when I was on my way to Milan. Honestly I didn't understand what the fuss was all about. It was super crowded and I didn't know anything about the city, so I left after a couple of hours dissapointed.

But when I returned one year later with my wife, I had done my research, and this time we explored several wonderful places and endlessly wandered through the city.

With each subsequent visit, I discovered more and more amazing spots and inevitably and irrevocably fell in love with Venice.
